Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Sultan Hotel case owned by Pontjo Sutowo is still ongoing. Now PT Indobuildco must have vacated the five-star hotel.

This is because the Gelora Bung Karno Complex Management Center (PPKGBK) said that there would be criminal law waiting for the Sultan Hotel if it did not implement this.

The PPKGBK Legal Team, Saor Siagian, revealed that the Sultan Hotel must be vacated immediately because the validity period of the Building Use Rights (HGB) has expired in March-April 2023. The deadline given to vacate the Block 15 area is 29 September 2023.

“Counting the days means it will be 12 (night) midnight. The National Police Chief said that if it is not vacated, there is criminal law, there is corruption,” said PPKGBK Legal Team Saor Siagian in a media briefing at the PPKGBK Office, citing Detikcom, Friday (29/9/2023 ).

Saor admitted that his party had submitted a letter to vacate the Sultan Hotel to PT Indobuildco so that it could be carried out as soon as possible. Because, until now PT Indobuildco has never applied for an extension permit.

“Until now, they have never submitted a letter or statement requesting permission (extension), nothing. Even though they are the HPL (Management Rights) holders, PPKGBK,” he said.

Saor emphasized that the PPKGBK only asked for the state-owned land to be returned empty. “If they respond well, then the land will be vacated. We don’t take even one item of the item, we put it there, then they take it,” he stressed.

For information, citing the gbk.id site, PPKGBK is a Public Service Agency work unit under the Ministry of State Secretariat. PPKGBK has the task of managing the Gelora Bung Karno Area which has an area of ​​279.1 hectares.

In this case, the Sultan Hotel has not paid the Sultan Hotel royalty tax since 2007. Based on the audit results of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), the total obligation to be paid to date is approximately IDR 600 billion.

Saor emphasized that Pontjo Sutowo still had to pay this obligation even though he had left the Sultan Hotel. If not, from a legal technical perspective, the assets in question have the potential to be confiscated to compensate for state losses.

Pontjo Sutowo was also reminded that there would be legal consequences if he did not vacate the Sultan Hotel. This is because the validity period of the HGB has expired in March-April 2023 and the state owns the land.

“Because they are no longer entitled as of March, of course there is the potential for criminal charges, there is encroachment because there are still business activities, enriching other people. We have written today, it is due today,” said Saor.
